BMR New Service Legit Or Worth It?
I just got a mail from BMR announcing their new service-HP backlinks; checked it out immediately and frankly I am disappointed. In the current scenario where Google has become extremely vigilant about link-buying schemes, the new service doesn’t inspire much confidence.
If Google slapped them once, what’s going to stop it from de-indexing the sites that host HP backlinks blogs? It’s essentially the same service being offered in a new package. Only this time you can’t write your own content or outsource it to a contractor of your choice. The content will be written by HP baclinks writers only.
I don’t doubt that the service could help websites get a short-term jump in rankings. But, I wouldn’t be surprised if Google went after them again.
Frankly, with Penguins and Pandas having a free run, investing in a link-buying service does not seem like the brightest idea. However, to give an objective viewpoint I have created a list of pros and cons.
Pros
Contextual links from high PR websites in your niche.
Likely rank jump thanks to the link juice from high PR websites.
BMR did right by its subscribers by refunding the unused fee when it’s network got de-indexed.
They are trying to shed the private network tag by inviting webmasters to become a part of their network and earn revenues by hosting links.
Possibly better quality control since the blog posts will be written by HP backlinks in-house writers only.
Cons
Any new service from BMR is likely to cause a big blip on Google’s radar.
They are calling it advertising, but it’s essentially a link-buying scheme where your inbound link will be embedded in 200-500 word blog posts.
Your links will remain active only as long as you keep paying. The links will be billed monthly.
Google is not going to like this service as it openly violates the webmaster guidelines.
Verdict: I respect BMR for being transparent and fair to their subscribers after the Google slap, however, keeping the current scenario in mind I wouldn’t be investing in HP backlinks service. My current SEO content writing strategies and content marketing strategies are working just fine for me and my clients.
Having said that, I would advice those considering HP backlinks to sit on the fence for a while and see how it goes. Unless of course, you have a quick conversion business and don’t mind creating new websites every time the old ones gets penalized or de-indexed (there are people who follow the business model, I am not sure how it works though).

Got love for BMR but this is… well… no words.
Good point is revshare for bloggers and bad point is easily the re-billing and blatantly monetizing backlinks which is completely against TOS which is a BIG issue – much bigger than
footprint IMO.
That being said… will def be looking into it some more… will def not be using the new service from the offset for any major or principal link building.
It IS the next chapter for BMR so will def play around with it… only looked at it for a few mins. so far – first impressions… not favorable.
