Is Google Planning A Slap On Guest Blogging Next?

New year, new updates! The SEO world is rife with rumors and speculations about what Google has up its sleeve now. Here’s a video from Matt Cutts that’s laden with at least a few hints:

The interpretation?

1. Don’t let just about anyone and everyone guest blog on your site.

2. Pitch your content to blogs and websites that seem to have quality control guidelines in place. A look at a site’s existing content will tell you if it’s worth your while.

3.  Submit your posts to sites relevant for your niche. This means if you are a in the business of fashion, don’t go around submitting content to SEO blogs.

4. Don’t allow contributing authors to insert random outbound links in the text of the post. A good idea is to allow them one or two commercial links relevant to your niche in the author bio.

5. Start using a social author bio plugin; it shows the blog is written by a real person.

Good Luck!
