The Penguin is finally here! Whether you’ve been anticipating it with dread or curiosity, its impact will only be clear in the next few weeks.

Don’t we ask ourselves this question every time there’s a new update? The answers from most experts are usually the same–Stay Clean and Steer Clear of Black Hat. The bigger question though is what kind of ‘clean’ strategies are actually effective. I’d say:

1) Engaging and high quality content

2) Posting fresh content on your blog regularly

3) Attracting social shares

4) Guest blogging on high authority sites

5) Consider content curation to come up with quality content with minimal time investment.

In addition to that Author Rank is most likely going to be an important ranking feature. So, it makes sense to set up your author profile on Google+ today.
